  • Can I come and view the self storage facility before moving in?
    Yes. If you would like a tour of our facility please call one of the team on 01453 707700 to arrange a time and date. We look forward to seeing you.
  • Are there restrictions on what I can store?
    Food or perishable goods unless approved by us and provided that they are protected from and do not attract vermin. Plants, birds, fish, animals or any other creatures. Combustible, flammable, explosive or oxidising materials, liquids or gases e.g. paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents, gas cylinders, cellulose nitrate film, fireworks. Firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives or the components thereof. Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents; pollutants, toxic or hazardous materials or contaminated goods or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature. Any item which emits any fumes, smell or odour. Any illegal substances, illegal items or goods illegally obtained, including counterfeit goods, illicit (smuggled/counterfeit) tobacco, illicit alcohol, unlicensed medicines, unsafe goods (including toys, electrical items, cosmetics, fireworks). Compressed non-flammable gases without our written consent and in accordance with our specific requirements. Any item of high value requiring specialist storage (including without limitation jewellery, money, bullion, deeds, bonds, securities, stamps, antiques, fine art or fine wines. Tyres, asbestos; or waste materials including any materials or goods for export deemed to be waste e.g. used electrical equipment (unless tested and certified for re-use), used vehicles or parts thereof.
  • Who can access my storage unit?
    Only those authorised persons who you have given permission to and have indicated on your account will have access to your unit. If you need to add or remove a persons access please contact us and we will amend the details on your account.
  • When can I access my storage unit?
    Our facility is open 24/7, 365 days of the year. The site is manned during standard office hours 8:30-5:30 Monday - Friday. Outside of these hours you still have access but the facility is not maned.
  • What are your opening hours?
    Unit Access - 24/7 Office Hours: Monday - 8:30 - 5:30 Tuesday - 8:30 - 5:30 Wednesday - 8:30 - 5:30 Thursday - 8:30 - 5:30 Friday - 8:30 - 5:30 Saturday- 8:30 - 5:30 Sunday - 8:30 - 5:30 Outside of the main hours please call 01453 707700 if you need assistance.
  • I have forgotten my access entry code.
    If you have forgotten your access code please get in touch with on of the team on 01453 707700 and we can inform you what the code is. We may need to confirm your identity by asking you some security questions. Alternatively if you need the code reset we will be able to action this for you.
  • Can I store items on behalf of someone else?
    Yes you can but the items will have to be covered in the insurance inventory for you storage unit. If you need that person to have access to your unit they will need to be listed on your account and provided their own access code.
  • Are there electrical sockets in the units?
    No, as standard we do not supply electrical sockets in our units.
  • Can I use the unit as accomodation?
    No. Sleeping in the units is a breach of our terms and conditions.
  • Can I park overnight at your facility?
    Due to the fact we have limited parking we do not offer this service. Parking is strictly for loading / unloading while at the storage centre.
  • Are children allowed in the facility?
    Yes, they are but they must be supervised at all times by an adult.
  • Can I change to a different size room?
    Yes you can. You will need to speak to the customer service team who will run you through the available unit options.
  • Are there discounts available for long term storage?
    We do offer discounts for long term storage. To find out the discounts we offer speak to one of the team on 01453 707700.
  • Do you have toilets?
    Yes there is one unisex toilet at our facility. This toilet has disablilty access. It is located on the ground floor.
  • Do you have a forklift?
    Yes there is a forklift available for loading / unloadings. This can only be driven by a member of staff. If you need this service please call us on 01453 707700 to arrange. Access to the floors is only via the stairs or the lift. There is no forklift bay to move items between floors.
  • Do you offer a collection and delivery service?
    Yes we have a box trailer collection and delivery service. If you want more information please call our customer service team on 01453 707700.
  • Is there parking onsite?
    Yes we have parking for 15+ cars. There is one loading bay into the storage centre.
  • Are the units equipped with racking / shelves?
    We do not as standard supply our units with shelving. You can add your own racking to your unit but it must be free standing and cannot be attached to the unit walls or building structure.
  • Do the units have lighting?
    The facility as a whole has lighting which operates on a motion sensor when you approach your unit. The individual units do not.
  • Do you have trolleys so I can move my goods?
    Yes we have a selection of trolleys and pallet trucks that are free to use.
  • Is my unit alarmed?
    Yes all the units in the building are alarmed. When you enter your access code it will de-alarm your induvitual unit. When you leave the facility again and enter your code to exit and it will alarm the unit.
  • Is there CCTV?
    Yes, there is both internal and external CCTV cameras.
  • Can I bring my pet to the facility?
    No pets of any kind are allowed in the storage centre or the office / car park. Exceptions are made for guide dogs. Please keep pets safely in your car at all times.
  • Is there disabled access?
    Yes. Please call our customer service team on 01453 707700 who will be able to run you through the available options and personal requirements.
  • How often can I access my unit?
    24/7. There is no limit on the amount of times you can access your unit.
  • Can I get a copy of my customer storage agreement?
    Yes, you will be given a copy when you move in. It is also available on the customer portal which you will be given a login for on move in.
  • Whats the minimum age I can rent a unit at?
    You will need to be 18 years of age to rent a unit.
  • I have forgotten my room number, how can I find it?"
    Easiest way to do this is call us on 01453 707700 and we can tell you this. Or it will be written on your storage agreement. If you have forgotten where it is in the facility there are maps near the stairs on each floor.
  • Are your units temperature controlled?
    No.
  • How do I update my contact details?
    Call the customer service team on 01453 707700 and we will amend the details for you.
  • What if I don't have any photo ID?
    You will need a recognised form of photo ID to rent a storage unit.
  • What photo ID do you accept?
    Passport of driving licence.
  • Why do I need to supply a photo ID?
    We need a record of all active customers for security purposes.
  • Can I have a workshop in my unit?
    No using machinery or doing mechanical work is not permitted.
  • Can I run a business from my storage unit?
    Our units are ideal for storing stock / archiving and we do work with many commercial clients. Units do not have power, telephone lines or internet so there are limitations on what can be done with them.
  • Can I used more than one unit?
    Yes you can rent as many units as you like depending on our unit availability.
  • Is there WiFi?
    We offer guest wifi in our reception area but the storage centre itself doesn't have WiFi coverage. Phone signal at our facilities in normally good with 4G coverage depending on your provider.
  • How do I set the alarm in my unit?
    When you enter the facility you will enter your pin code. This will de-alarm your induvitual unit. When you leave and enter in your pin to exit the building this will re-alarm the unit. If you forget to do this it will re-alarm itself after 2 hours.
  • I lost my key / combination for my padlock!
    We can cut your lock off for you at a cost of £10. Or if you purchase a new lock in store this service is free. If you want to remove the lock yourself please ensure the door is not damaged as this will encur costs.
